#1 International Bestselling Author  Lisa Loucks Christenson

I'm still working on adding the images to this site. Meanwhile, I wanted to introduce you to my Bow Wow Detectives® Series, pictured in the trading cards below.
The picture of the German Shepherd above is one of my field dogs, Dale. He's about 100 LBS of pure curiosity.

He loves the river, probably as much as I do. He's never complained about walking for miles, the heat or cold while tromping through every slough, either. His sister loves the river too. Dale is the Bow Wow Detective® in the New Year's Eve Octopus Bank Heist, and he makes appearances in the Meow Meow Detectives™ Series too.

All our dogs are my  inspiration behind my Bow Wow Detectives® Series. Every day they seem to lead me to a new story either because of their  mischief,  or  by uncovering something I wouldn't have noticed.

Dale  is so smart, one day when I wasn't looking he unzipped my camera bag and helped himself to a bottle of water. Of course, he didn't unscrew the cap, instead, he just bit into the bottle until it sprayed out the sides. He's always figuring things out, how they tick, how they open.  He's the most intelligent, truest guardian I've ever known. He's an awesome Bow Wow Detective®.

Dale will  sit with me for hours, without a whimper, while I shoot pictures through my  camera blind. When we're in the woods, he'll come running if I give him a "look" and tilt  my head, when I lift  my hand he knows to lay down, whistling will bring him into a run or a halt, depending on how I whistle. He shows me what a dog is capable of, in spirit, love, affection, but also his disobedience, and complete ignorance. I take these experiences and write them into my stories. Christian Canine and Feline mysteries.

I'm sharing all this because I wanted you to know it was my Bow Wow Detectives®  Series that led me to develop my Meow Meow Detectives™.

I wondered how different my stories would be if I actually had a cat, I wondered if I'd write stronger more believable stories. Little did I know I was in for a big surprise.

One day I was cat-less, and the next  day I  rescuing a cat off the highway. A stubborn cat, who, undoubtedly, must have had some sort of angelic connection, she ran out lives after getting missed by the last semi missing her by the tip of her tail.

When I sit at my desk and think about her she appears by my side.  I look at the fridge and she knows I'm thinking about feeding her. Before she arrived all I had were notes, a series, and some trading cards. She came into my life and  inspired the first Meow Meow Detective™ book.

Welcome to the Official Meow Meow Detectives™ Web site.  Lisa Loucks Christenson is the author of this new Christian feline sleuth mystery series published by Lisa Loucks Christenson Publishing, LLC.

This new feline Christian series offers a different set of obstacles in each book. Challenges that tangle the truth, create moments of deep thinking, danger, and everything life can throw at them. I write stories that give my characters  reasons to lean on their faith.  Characters who are sometimes, unequally yolked with feline sleuth companions.

By the end of every book, my characters must rise above their differences and find the depth of their faith; if they are even going to have a chance to solve  the mystery, puzzle, or escape their troubles. It's not going to be easy, but when they do, they will discover the true meaning of their journey together. Always ending HEA (Happily-Ever-After).

I almost always have a camera with me. I never know when I may run into the next photo opportunity with a Meow Meow Detective™ or Bow Wow Detective®, there's one in every city.

I've learned a few things hanging around these furry critters. I feel like I learned another language. Cats and dogs  have their own way of saying things, without saying any words at all, they give stares. growls, hisses, and all kinds of body movements that tell each other everything they need to know.

One cat taught me, without saying a word at all,  (if a cat could talk out loud,) I understood him to mean, "I'll be on the look up!"  It's some sort of cat slang that must mean "look out" and it means, the best I can figure, until we cross "alleys" again.

I guess I'll close with that bit of knowledge. I hope we'll connect in another book! Sign up for my mailing list, or just check back.

Meanwhile,  if you want to drop me a line, I would love to hear what you think about these stories. Let  me know what you like and don't like.  I hope everyone enjoys them, but it really helps me to know how I can make them even better! Let me know what kind of stories you want to read. I don't write violent books, and I don't use vulgar language, or include anything I wouldn't want my kids reading.

Life has it's difficulties, but my heroes and heroines don't slip, or give up their faith,

they won't be involved in anything that wouldn't be Christian-like. My villians are capable of anything evil, they do the unthinkable. but I won't write bloody battles, I or write graphic details that give kids nightmares. These two series are family-friendly, and great for all ages.

I learned one thing handing out free trading cards while promoting the two series: there were as many adult readers as there were kids who signed up on my mailing lists.

I fell in love with children's books and YA

books as a child. I knew in my heart, one day, if I accomplished nothing else in life, I knew I had to write stories like the ones that fed my mind.

Onward,

Lisa
